Eating with the Bare Hands

Filipinos have so many distinct ways when it comes to actions of everyday living.  Some of these mannerisms, oddities,  quirks  can be amusing or give you annoyance.

Every country has their own cultural quirks, customs.  In Japan, they use chopsticks to eat,  or when yu go to restaurant you have to remove shoes. In China, they east something live. Alive. Like when it comes to food. Probaby. I’m not sure. Also drink snake blood? They have  one child policy. But that’s not something odd is it?  I guess that’s their rule?  In India, people eat  and chew something then spit it out.

Meaning eating using bare hands.  Have you seen Filipinos do this? Of course this trait, relates more to the poor as it mirrors poverty and the state of how the squatters live. But that said, this is one trait that many Filipinos still happy to do . Whatever social status one has. As a sample, when eating fried rice with grilled or fried fish, there still those who prefer to eat sans the use of fork and spoon. One fast food chain, Mang Inasal the sight of happy pinoy eating without for and spoon is common. The eating becomes more enjoyable that way!
